Quick update

They just took the next blood gas. The CO2 was 73 and the PH was 7.28! We are so grateful for these numbers. These are the numbers that we saw much of the day. We pray that her gases will only continue to improve. Please pray for this as this seems to be what is puzzling the doctors. As one therapist said tonight, Maggie is not acting as they would typically expect. But it is consistent with the up and down nature of the recovery from ARDS.

We feel like we've dodged a series of bullets tonight. We're hoping to rest and ready ourselves for whatever tomorrow brings.

Keep praying.

I'll be away from the computer all day today, but know that my prayers will be with you all day. Maggie is a wonderful, strong little girl with wonderful, faith-full parents and extended family, and lots of prayer warriors! Praying for a good day for all of you.

Good morning. I hope you had a great night. I got up this morning to check the blog, and I also checked the newspaper. There is a nice story about Lincoln in it today. http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/dayton-news/an-air-force-fighter-at-age-1-579158.html

See you guys in a little bit.

Praying Maggie will have a restful day today and her levels will get to where they need to be. Praying for peace for Mommy and Daddy too.

I am glad that her Co2 and Ph are improving. It is a good sign when the ventilator pressures can be reduced as well. I hope that Maggie continues to improve. One of the hardest thing was keeping Katie-Belle sedated enough not to cause herself problems as well. These girls are fighters and hard to keep down. They just don't know when to rest.

We're all thinking about you and keeping close tabs on the progress. Everything is being taken care of at work and everyone is rallying behind you to give you any support you need on this end. I get asked for updates regularly--we're all praying and thinking of you and your family.
